Sep 15  Linux Demystified (Tue, Sept 15, 2009) - Thanks to everyone who came to the talk. We had a great turnout, and we hope everyone had as great of a time as we did. Feel free to download our complimentary PDF of the slides. Also, if you'd like to get your own copy of Ubuntu, go ahead and download the free (yep, free as in free beer) Ubuntu desktop CD image. A few reasons you should care about Linux:
Sep 11  Migration and Its Impact on Users - You've heard a lot about HCS's Great Migration, perhaps even witnessed a few of the effects yourself.
Sep 9  Opening Hackathon on Saturday - Come to HCS's Opening Hackathon this Saturday from 1pm until (at least) 7pm in our office, SOCH 307. HCS's traditional year-opening Hackathon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackathon) is an excellent place for prospective members to jump in on an first HCS project, or for current members to work on major projects that affect the entire Harvard community. Free food will be provided. You should come!

Office Hours

We hold "office hours" on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-10pm (see our Events Calendar for up-to-date dates) at our office in the Student Organization Center at Hilles, room 307, where we work on our projects, eat pizza, talk about technology, and help users with questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
